Private Health Insurance

Jeremy Southgate is registered with all the major private health insurers.

You will need to liaise with your insurance company concerning level of cover.   Private hospitals will accept patients who are not insured on a self-pay basis.  Details of this can be obtained from Mr Southgate’s secretary.

Outpatient Fees

New Patient: £220
Follow-up: £150
Steroid injection: £70

NB: Private hospitals can issue a separate charge for outpatient procedures for drugs, dressings, application of plaster of paris, etc.

Inpatient Procedures

Fees for surgical procedures are based on a coding system used by all the insurers. (OPCS Code) Most insurers meet my fees in full.  Sometimes there are cost share type policies or an excess depending on the type of individual insurance policy.

Patients will be informed of the fee for any surgical procedure in writing prior to their operation.

Payment

Most invoices are settled directly by the insurance company.  If there is a shortfall or excess this can be paid by cheque payable to JJ Southgate Ltd or by internet BACS transfer.  Account details will be on the invoice. Credit cards are not currently accepted.
