BiographyJeremy Southgate was educated at Christ’s Hospital School
in Horsham and trained in Medicine at The London Hospital Medical
College in East London. At the end of his senior registrar training he was appointed to a Fellowship in Sydney Hospital and St Luke’s Hospital Hand Unit in Australia for a year. In 1998 he was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to The Royal Bournemouth Hospital. He treats all aspects of hand surgery including wrist and elbow conditions. He has written several papers and presented research at international scientific meetings including the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, The Australian Hand Society and at the International Federation for Surgical Societies of the Hand. He is strongly committed to teaching to all medical personnel and regularly lectures on surgical training programmes both in hand surgery and anatomy. He is currently Clinical Director for Orthopaedics at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. He is a member of the following societies:- |
